Gallery, Social Visit Filching Manor Musuem (10 April 2011)

As well as fundraising and providing services, Lions love to socialise. Battle & Villages Lions Club organised a visit to Filching Manor Museum for its members.

Filching Manor has been part of the Foulkes Halbard family for 24 years, and the museum is run by them, along with the Campbell Go Karting Circuit which is where Battle & Villages Lions Club hold their annual Go Karting Endurance Race.

At the museum, Battle & Villages Lions saw a house built in 1450AD, an amazing array of old motor vehicles and memorabilia, and the K3 Bluebird – the 1937 world water speed record breaking boat, which is currently being restored to its former glory.
