Go Karting - Trophy Presentation

Last September the Battle and Villages Annual Go Kart Grand Prix Team Endurance Race was won by a team representing their sister club, Lions Club of Hailsham, who beat the previous long standing trophy holders by a considerable margin, as previously reported. On Tuesday the 7th March Battle Lions President, Lion Rod Eldridge, formally presented the Trophy, now engraved with the latest winners names, to the Chairman of Hailsham Lions, Lion Geraldine Gurr at their monthly meeting.

Battle and Villages Lions Club are already taking entries for the 2017 event of this popular race, which will again take place in September at the famous Filching Manor Circuit, near Polegate, and any budding Hamilton’s should get their team entered early to ensure their place! As is the Battle Lions policy, the proceeds will again go to the Lions International Blood Research Appeal, which funds lifesaving work and facilities at Kings College Hospital. Entrants should contact Lion Mark Standen on 01424 430158.
